First though, let me show you some of the other toddler-induced changes that we’ve made in here, just while we’re talking about it.. First of all, we had to move that sawhorse table out of the room because the rough wood and general tippy-ness just weren’t a good match for Jack’s need to try to climb/pull-down everything.. We just replaced it with a floating shelf for now.
So that got it half-way there.Over the next couple of days, the natural tarnish filled in and the fake and the real came together in perfect harmony..
So what started out as an experiment and a maybe sorta OK temporary solution ended up being one of my very favorite parts of the room.. Now I just wish I had more brass knobs! So a couple of weeks ago, on a Saturday, we were sitting in the dining room eating our lunch.Chris was reading the paper. He looked up and said semi-mockingly, “Oh no, we’re going to miss the Dover Cruise this weekend.” we were heading out to the beach in a couple of hours.. “What’s that?” “I don’t know.” he did know but didn’t feel like getting into it further.
That’s kind of an annoying thing to do, isn’t it?Anyway….. A moment later we heard a strange put-put-putting coming from outside.. We peeked out the window and saw a tractor.
It was the Dover Cruise!.
Around here, almost any tractor passing is reason enough to run out waving like a crazy person.I usually pick 1 or 2 things to focus on and try to improve on at a time and don’t worry too much about anything else.
Right now I’m trying to get more consistent at posting on., so that’s one of my few priorities, but at another time it was growing my.
account and trying to get more followers, so I focused on trying to figure out what to do about that.Last year I really wanted to work on setting up my email list and creating a series of emails to go out to new subscribers, so for about a month, that was the priority over everything else, but now I can set that aside and focus on something else.
